Harry's been replanted!

It was about time too. There wasn't much of Harry left. Those babies sucked the life out of him. I hope I planted him correctly. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to cover him completely. We'll see I guess.

I planted Harry!

Ahem..

There's only a month left for him to make babies and I'm not sure how I'd bring him back home, let alone with kids so this will be interesting. Harry pretty much took up the entire pot though. I don't know how his children will grow. They will probably be seriously stunted. Oh well.

A: it's history in the making
A: POTATO history
A: and we know that's the most important history

so true!

Update on the babies!

Well, the tumors have gotten a bit longer. After I took pictures of Harry, I noticed that one of the small tumors fell off. I'm not really sure how I'm going to plant Harry though. I'm supposed to just use the topmost four tumors, but the topmost ones are really small (and by topmost I mean bottom-most, if you know what I mean). The biggest one is growing out of the side of Harry's face and the next biggest one is growing out of th other side of his head. I suppose I could just bury him sideways. I need to get a bigger pot too..

Oh yeah, some puns!
So after I've potted Harry, I'll be a Potter! And once I grow a long grey beard I'll be a hairy potter! Ok, I should be doing my homework.

Harry Potato's first adventure

This is Harry buckled up and ready for take off. (I had the whole row to myself on my way to Las Vegas)

This is Harry as we're descending into Las Vegas. You can kind of see The Strip behind him.

Harry enjoys the slot machines.

The seats at the gates are situated so that they're all facing the middle where the slot machines are. I'll have you know it took quite the effort to get up next to one, pull out a potato from my bag and take a picture of it.

This is Harry in front of a weird contraption that has several balls continuously rolling through the tracks hitting things at certain times to make noises..I think OMSI has something like it.

And finally, here's Harry back at my dorm. I'm going to be really sad when he starts to rot.

Oh how I love you guys, you're the only people I know who would sign a potato.

Potatoes, what else?

Yesterday I went to go get groceries at Safeway. I needed potatoes, etc. So I see that they're having a sale where it's buy one 5 lb. bag of potatoes and get one free. I was going to buy potatoes anyway, so I figured I might as well grab my free bag, right? Then I got home and realized that I had 10 lbs of potatoes that I had to finish within the next week. (Unless, of course, I bring them home?)

Thus, I shall be eating potatoes every day for the next week. Last night, I had baked potatoes, and I am currently boiling some up for mashed potatoes. They are very tasty.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share.

New York is a silly place.

While I was in New York the other day with some friends, we stopped by a cafe to get something to eat. There were all sorts of cakes and pastries and drinks and such, but what was the most delectable of all was this platter of potatoes raised up amongst all the sweets.

We also went into a Disney store and there I chanced upon enormous cylinders of Mr. Potato Head body parts.
